Some breif history
I was doing a bit of thinking last night, and I have to admit, when I was speaking about the ole Keystone mini bike yeasterday,
it seesm to me, there was no transmission at all. One gear forward and you just rolled on the gas and away you went.
I do remember my cousin getting himself a small Honda 50. The little red bike that could. Now this was a little different than the Keystone.
And this was also a few years after I had my Keystone. To say the least, I was jealous. He was younger than I, and all of a sudden he had a bteer bike than me. Darn.
Not only cute and functiona, but a good looking ride. Now this bike did have a 4-speed transmission, and used an centrifugal clutch system.
I am sure these have become a collectors item. Honda, without a doubt, had a really great product in this class of mini bike. They were miles ahead of anyone else.
Sleek and good looking, it also managed to entertain the kids for days. Seeing how I was not the owner of this one, I can not say what problems were encountered, but from speeking to my cousin
a few days ago, he did not have any memory of any lenghty "down time". Todays Pocket Bikes have that same great integrity. Stylish yet robust. Other than the petit size of these bikes, they produce more horespower
and are built to withstand more than a mild thrashing.
There is no better time to get into this exiting sport, just for fun, or for sport, either way your kids and yourself will be pleasently surprised.
Lets ride
So for those not yet familiar with these styles of bikes, maybe a second look at these pocket rockets may be just what your looking for.
